Prices for sharpening of scissors
We sharpen all scissors by hand on Japanese whetstones in accordance with traditional Japanese methods. For high end barber scissors as well as tailor scissors we go through several different stones to guarantee a razor sharp and durable edge.
Teroitamme kaikki sakset käsin perinteisillä japanilaisilla menetelmillä. Käytössämme on korkeluokkaiset japanilaiset vesihiomakivet. Parturisakset ja kangassakset teroitetaan nousevan karkeuden vesihiomasarjalla. Korkealuokkaiset työkalumme ja ammattilaistaitomme takaavat sen että saksinne pysyvät todella terävänä pitkään.

Prices for sharpening of woodworking tools
Prices for woodworking tools, like chisels, plane blades and others are determined per separate agreement after our sharpener has examined the tool in question. Contact us at togi@hawatari.com for more information.
Prices for sharpening of other kitchen tools
Kitchen tools used for cutting, like cheese cutters, peelers, cutting blades of food processors and other tools used in the kitchen can be sharpened at hawatari. Prices for sharpening are determined per separate agreement. Contact us at togi@hawatari.com for more information.
Need scissors for the duration of sharpening?
We offer free of charge loaner service for barber scissors. A customer can get 1 set of barbers scissors at no cost at all, for the duration of time it will take us to sharpen his/hers scissors. Our scissors sets include at least 1 cutting and 1 thinning piece. Don’t hesitate to ask for a free-of-charge loaner set of barber scissors when you bring your scissors for sharpening!
Free pickup / delivery inside Helsinki
We offer free of charge pick up and delivery service for knives from within Helsinki area. For the packages from outside of Helsinki we, unfortunately, have to charge a separate delivery fee in accordance to the postal services price list. The delivery fee depends on the size and weight of the knife/knives and is determined on case by case principles.
