KENGATA DEBA BŌCHŌ    剣型出刃包丁

A fairly modern addition to deba knife family – deba knife with sword like tip. Appeared as the result of increasing popularity (especially with foreign based customers) of knives with tip structure similar to kiritsuke and bunka knives. Apart from differently styled tip kengata deba has all the basic characteristics of deba knives – it is also thick and heavy.

Also known as Kiritsuke Deba 切付出刃庖丁

Kengata deba is a single bevel knife.
