ATAMA-TORI  頭取り

Curved knife used in the professional industry for cutting off heads of life stock. Smaller versions are used for beheading chickens, bigger versions can be used on pigs, cows  etc.

The smaller version of this knife is sometimes called “Kashira-tori” (not “Atama-tori”).

Atama-tori is a double bevel knife.
